The Historical Significance of Ashura

Mu’awiyah ibn Abu Sufyan (Radiyallahu 'anh) relates: I heard the Messenger of Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta'ala) say: "It is the day of ‘Ashura. Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta'ala) has not made fasting obligatory for you. But I am fasting. He who likes to observe fast among you should do so, and he who likes not to observe it (does not have to) observe it." [Sahih Muslim] Abu Qatada (Radiyallahu 'anh) relates that the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu ‘alayhi wa Sallam) said that the fast on the 10th of Muharram atones for the sins of the preceding year. Muharram: 1st Month of the Islamic Calendar Sunni References The Tenth of Muharram and Ashurah The Islamic year begins with Muharram ul Haram, the first month of the Hijri Calendar. While followers of other religions spend their opening month in worthless merriment, the first month of Islam teaches us lessons of admonition, good counselling, knowledge of Allah Ta’ala, sacrifice, selflessness, patience and seeking the pleasure of Allah Ta’ala.

عاشورہ کی وجہ تسمیہ میں علما ء کا اختلاف ہے اس کی وجہ مختلف طور پر بیان کی گئی ہے ، اکثر علماء کا قول ہے کہ چونکہ یہ محرم کا دسواں دن ہوتا ہے اس لئے اس کو عاشورہ کہا گیا، بعض کا قول ہے کہ اللہ

اسلامی سال کا پہلا مہینہ محرم الحرام ہے ۔ محرم کو محرم اس لئے کہا جاتا ہے کہ اس ماہ میں جنگ و قتال حرام ہے۔ یہ اللہ تعالیٰ کا مہینہ ہے اور اس مہینہ میں عاشورہ کا دن بہت معظم ہے یعنی دسویں محرم کا دن ۔ (فضائل الایام والشہور صفحہ ٢٥١)

The prominence of Imam Hasan ibn Ali and
Imam Hussain ibn Ali – Allah’s pleasure be upon them all

1. It is reported that once, Imam Hasan approached the Holy Prophet - blessings and peace be upon him - and climbed on his shoulders. A person, (who was present) remarked, “O blessed son! What a nice steed you have”. In reply, the Holy Prophet declared, “And how nice a rider (too).”
[Sunan al-Tirmidhi, Kitab al-Manaqib, Manaqib Abi Muhammad al-Hasan – Hadith no. 3809, Vol 5, Page 432].

FUNDAMENTAL BELEIFS OF SHIA ISM...

BELIEFS CONCERNING ALLAH ALMIGHTY

1.) He has the Quality of 'Badaa'.

2.) This means he forgets.

3.) He makes mistakes.

4.) He plans but this does not take effect.

5.) He does not know who to appoint as the next message conveyor, the next Imaam.

6.) "We (shias) do not worship such a god who gives authority to rascals like Yazid, Mu'awiyyah and Uthmaan."

Chunki ab Muharram ka mubarak mahina aa gaya hai, is mahine me 2 tarah ke pehlu dekhne me aate hai…

1. to ye ki is mahine me Nawasa e Rasool Sallallahu alahi wasallam Hazrate Imam e Hussain Radiyallahu Anhu ki apne nana jaan ke deen ke khatir jo kurbani di uski yaad me hum mefil e zikre hussain aur khandan e ahle bait ko yaad karte hai, unki shahadat ko yaad karte huwe jalse aur mehfile munaqid karte hai taki hum ye jaan sake ki ye islam sirf yoonhi hum tak nahi pahucha balke hamare buzurgan e deen ki kurbanio aur khoon behne se hum tak pahucha hai, aur hum us kurbanio ko yaad karke apne murda ya siyah dilo me jaan bhar sake. Sabile (yani sharbat) ka intezam karte  hai taki ye dikha sake ki pani ko rokne ka kaam ye yazeedio ka hai, aur hamara kaam tou pyaso ko pani pilana hai

2. Magar dusri taraf afsos ke saath kehna padta hai ki is mahine ki 9vi aur 10vi tou hadd ho jati hai ki kuch jahil
